Z. Kent Sullivan
General Counsel

Kent Sullivan joined AIDEA as General Counsel for both AIDEA and AEA in October 2023.  He has over 28 years of experience as an attorney specializing in civil litigation, transactions, real property, development, access, and federal overreach issues.  Prior to joining AIDEA, he served as Chief of Adjudications for Alaska Workers’ Compensation, an Administrative Law Judge for the Office of Administrative Hearings, an Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Law, and as a partner in separate firms both in Alaska and Montana.  He has represented individuals, businesses, large institutional clients and the State of Alaska in private and public settings.

Mr. Sullivan earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Montana, School of Law, and his B.Sc., in Forestry, from the University of Montana.  He is licensed to practice in Alaska, Montana and British Columbia, Canada.
